Have you ever wondered what it would be like not to be you? Oooo. Even for just a moment? Are you curious what kind of an animal you may be spiritually? Are you keen on doing seemingly nonsensical things very seriously? Would you like to erase stress folds from eyes and face, and release that wild inner-child? Would you like your very own ensemble-outfit, that looks exactly like all the otherís in the troupe do?
Sign-up now! Don’t miss the opportunity to play live while still alive!!
Related Primates the brand new ensemble will start it’s rehearsals late February 2017 at Agora Collective’s Neuköllner Mittelweg space, building up to the staging of a new, experimental, directed-experience performed with a live audience at Kunst-Werke Pogo Bar on April 13–15th!
Yes! You heard it right! This is a unique experience where artists, performers and viewers are all stuck in the same suit! Here you can be more than one all at once, and here is where we don’t hold back!
At a time like this, play, stress release, inner discovery and self-experimentation is important to everyone alike. Our futures are uncertain, and the trenches ahead of us deep; we will need more community, more creativity than perhaps ever before. The answer: Audition for Related Primates!
You need NO skills, NO experience, NO apprehension, just a curious Head, Guts, a Body and the willingness to experiment and show up.
Led by artist and Camp Solong summer-camp counselor Dafna Maimon and developed together with artist and choreographer Emma Waltraud Howes the ensemble will fuse its energies to experiment with body and mind, drawing from performance, meditation, games, role-playing and amateur movement practices for bi-weekly rehearsal sessions.
To audition please R.S.V.P with a three sentence blurb answering the following questions: How do you play? Why will you join?
